Privacy policy
Effective November 6, 2026
Short version. Flush Hour keeps the bare minimum to run the leaderboard: a nickname, a random ID, your scores and your teams. No account, no email, no ads, no tracking, no third-party analytics.
Flush Hour is a game published by EzyApp Studio ("we"). This policy covers the website flushhour.app and the Flush Hour iPhone app.
What we collect
- Your nickname. You pick it. It is shown publicly on the leaderboards.
- A random device ID. The game creates it the first time you play and keeps it on your device. It is not your phone's advertising ID and it says nothing about you. It links your scores to your nickname.
- Your scores and when you set them. Points, rolls changed, accuracy, best combo, number of games, and the date and time of each score sent.
- Your teams. The teams you create or join (name and code) and the fact that you are a member.
- Your web alert subscription (optional). If you turn on team alerts in your browser, we keep the technical address provided by your browser's push service, and the latest message meant for you. The iPhone app does not send notifications for now.
- A fingerprint of your IP address. To block bursts of fake scores, we compute a one-way hash of your IP address. We never store your raw IP address.
What we do not collect
No name, no email, no phone number, no location, no contacts, no photos, no advertising ID. No ads, no cross-app or cross-site tracking, no third-party analytics in this version. We do not sell or rent any data.
What stays on your device
The game saves in your browser's or the app's local storage: your random ID, your nickname, your language, your sound settings and your best score. You can erase all of it by clearing the site data in your browser or by deleting the app.
Why we use it
- To show the weekly, all-time and team leaderboards.
- To run private teams.
- To block cheating and abuse.
- To send team alerts, only if you turned them on.
We do not use it for anything else.
Who sees what
Anyone can see your nickname, scores, rank, number of games and your avatar, which is generated from your nickname. Members of your teams also see the team name. Your device ID is never shown.
Hosting and providers
- Cloudflare hosts the website, the game, the server and the database. Cloudflare processes IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the service.
- Browser push services (for example Apple's, Google's or Mozilla's) relay web alerts if you turn them on. The alert in transit is empty: your browser fetches the text from us afterwards.
- Google Fonts serves the website's typefaces, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when it loads them. The iPhone app bundles its fonts and does not use this service.
- Apple distributes the app through the App Store, under its own privacy policy.
This data may be stored and processed outside Québec and Canada, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
- Nickname, ID, scores and teams: as long as you play. If no score is sent from your device for 24 months, we delete this data.
- IP fingerprints for anti-abuse: 48 hours at most.
- Web alert subscription: until you turn it off or the push service reports it expired.
- Automatic database backups: they erase themselves after 30 days at most.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, and turn off alerts at any time. Email info@flushhour.app with your nickname. Since we do not know who you are, we may ask you to confirm from your device that the nickname is yours. We reply within 30 days.
If you live in Québec and are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec. Elsewhere, contact the data protection authority where you live.
Children
Flush Hour is not aimed at children in particular. If you are under 14, ask a parent for permission before picking a nickname for the leaderboard. Whatever your age, never use your real name as a nickname. A parent who wants their child's data deleted can email info@flushhour.app.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS, database access is restricted and scores are checked with a single-use token. No system is perfect, which is exactly why we keep so little data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page. A significant change will also be announced on the website.
